Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. In the film and television business, she is famous for her numerous awards and nominations. Bassett comes originally from New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her mother split with her father at approximately five. She and her younger sister later moved from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in high school, and realised that acting is what she would like to be doing. Following her graduation at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned the Bachelor's degree of African American Studies, she was able to obtain an MA (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American study) in the year 1980.
